Five Best Speakers Represent UPNG in Intervarsity Debate Comp



The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) is sending its finest debaters to the Inter Varsity Debate Competition in Divine Word University, Madang province. The selection process saw five brilliant students earn the opportunity to represent UPNG on the regional stage.

These five students, from the five schools within UPNG, have demonstrated exceptional skills within their respective Schools. They not only secured their place in the UPNG SRC Debate Competition competitions but stood out as the best speakers within each of their representative schools.

This distinction earned them the privilege of representing UPNG in the forthcoming Inter Varsity Debate Competition.The selected students not only embody the spirit of academic pursuit but also serve as role models for their peers.

The Inter Varsity Debate Competition, to be held in Madang province, is a platform for students from various universities across Papua New Guinea to engage in intellectual discourse and showcase their persuasive skills.

It provides an excellent opportunity for UPNG students to compete at a national level and establish themselves as formidable debaters in the country.

These five selected students, who have already proven their mettle within UPNG, are now gearing up to represent their university with pride and honor.

The Inter Varsity Debate Competition in Divne Word University in Madang promises to be an event of intellectual rigor and passion, where these six exceptional UPNG students will undoubtedly uphold the university's tradition of excellence.

The Six Debaters namely Ni Yumei Paul, Siosi Opao, Nabieu Lansana, Wilbur David Bossin (SMHS), and Lovanchor Dotson were accompanied by Mr. Nari and Dr. Anna Joskin to represent Team UPNG in Madang.
